My talk presents a discussion of the challenges and issues many of us face coming out late in life. After all, those who decide to present part time or transition at this stage of life are generally well established in their careers or retired, often with a partner, and with family. Coming out at this stage presents many challenges to the status quo, particularly when there is push back from friends, colleagues, family, or your partner. As many of you know, arriving at to the decision to come out is hard enough without having to negotiate your self with your community. There will be an open and frank discussion as part of my talk.
